Privacy Notice

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This notice explains what happens to the information you give us on rivelah.com or by taking part in our research.

Who is responsible. Glenn Leese trading as Rivelah ("Rivelah", "we") is the data controller for the information collected on rivelah.com and through our research. You can reach us at glenn@rivelah.com for anything in this notice.

What we collect. When you submit the form: your name, job title, work email address, company name if you provide it, what kind of contact you're interested in, any note you add, and which link or ad brought you to the page, taken from the web address you arrived on. That's all we store. We don't store your IP address or your location.

Taking part in our research. If you take part in our research, through a survey, an interview or a conversation with Glenn, we keep what you tell us and the details you or the research platform give us to identify and contact you, such as your name, role, company, LinkedIn profile and email address. We use this to understand how B2B software companies work out who their best customers are, and to shape the product we're building. If we quote you anywhere public, we won't use your name or company. We use third-party services to run, record, store and analyse our research, such as research platforms, transcription, cloud storage and AI tools. We keep research information the same way as everything else on this page; see "How long we keep it". You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it or remove what identifies you, at any time at glenn@rivelah.com.

Why we collect it. To contact you about a short research interview about how your company decides who its best customers are, about our pilot programme if it's relevant to you, or to tell you when we launch if that's what you asked for. We use what we learn to work out whether we're building something people actually need. We also use what you tell us to shape the product we're building. We also use it to see which of our ads and messages bring people here. We rely on your consent, given when you submit the form or agree to take part in our research, and on our legitimate interest in researching our own market. Providing the information is entirely voluntary; the only consequence of not providing it is that we can't get in touch.

What we don't do with it. We don't sell it, we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing, and we don't put you into an automated email sequence. If you've asked to hear when we launch, we'll tell you personally. Any reply you get is written by a person.

Who else handles it. Two service providers process what you submit through the form on our behalf, and only on our instructions:

  • Our hosting provider (United States) hosts rivelah.com, runs the form's submission endpoint, and counts our page views. Like any web host, its servers briefly log request details including IP addresses; we don't read or store those.
  • Our database provider (database hosted in Singapore) stores the submissions.

Both are outside Australia, and our hosting provider processes data in the United States. Transfers rely on the standard contractual protections in our agreements with each provider. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking services.

The services we use for research are described under "Taking part in our research".

Cookies and tracking. rivelah.com sets no cookies and contains no tracking pixels or advertising scripts. We count page views, including which link or ad each visit came from, with an analytics tool, which runs from our own host. For each view it records the page, the referring site, a coarse location (country, region and city), and the browser, device and operating system. It also counts clicks on the Talk-to-us button, form starts (which field was filled in first), submissions held back by a missing or invalid field (which field) and completed submissions (the option you picked), each with the site or campaign link you arrived from, but never what you typed. It tells repeat views apart within a day using a hash that is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be turned back into you. It uses no cookies and does not follow you across other sites.

How long we keep it. We don't delete what you send us on a fixed schedule. We keep it for as long as it's useful to our research and product development, or to our relationship with you. We keep details that identify you, like your name and email, only while we need them, for example to follow up with you. Once we don't, we remove them and keep the rest without anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information, or remove what identifies you, at any time by contacting us at glenn@rivelah.com.

Your rights. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or remove what identifies you, ask us to stop using it, or object to how we're using it. Email glenn@rivelah.com and we'll act on it. If you're in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your national data protection authority; in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes. If this notice changes we'll update the date above.
